The Best Light Windows

The golden morning light falls through the eastern-facing alleys of Bhaktapur Durbar Square creating dramatic shadow-and-light contrasts across the carved wood facades.
Mid-morning (09:00–11:00): Markets are at full activity. Asan intersection is one of Asia's most photographed market scenes — narrow lanes, women in red saris, vegetable stalls, and cycle rickshaws creating organised chaos.
Evening (16:30–18:30): Circumambulation at Boudhanath Stupa is most active in the late afternoon. Hundreds of Tibetan pilgrims in traditional dress walk the stupa circuit as the long-shadow light catches the prayer flags and white dome at its most photogenic.

Key Locations
