Public Bus or Minibus
From the road outside the terminal, public minibuses run toward Ratna Park in central Kathmandu for NPR 30 to NPR 50. From Ratna Park, Thamel is a NPR 200 taxi or 15-minute walk. This option is only practical with light luggage and some local knowledge; not recommended for first-timers at night.

After collecting bags and clearing customs, you enter a crowded arrivals hall. Ignore touts who approach inside -- they charge inflated commissions.
