Tamang Heritage Trail Complete Guide
The Tamang Heritage Trail north of Kathmandu passes through authentic Tamang villages with Buddhist monasteries, mani walls, and Himalayan views without the permit complexity of other regions.
The Tamang Heritage Trail is a 7-10 day cultural and scenic route through Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts north of Kathmandu, connecting to the Langtang National Park system.
Overview
The trail loops through Tamang villages from Syabrubesi via Gatlang, Tatopani, Nagthali, Brimdang, and back โ or continues into Langtang Valley. Maximum altitude is approximately 3,165m at Nagthali ridge, where views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang dominate the horizon.
